Kult Ikon merges post-metal ambiance and pure doom thunder, as heard in their recent singles, “Circle Birds,” as well as in, “Lost Sea” which was featured on, The Weedian Compilation, Trip to North Carolina (2022). The Raleigh-based trio rises and falls over moody, cathartic overtones with their signature fusing of crushing riffs with serene soundscapes.

The latest album Black Iron Prison (March 2024) is the follow-up to Sheet Metal Sessions (May 2020), in March of 2026 the remixed Sheet Metal Sessions 2026 was released.  Critics have compared Kult Ikon to Russian Circles, ISIS, and Cult of Luna.
